Aim and ScopeThe European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases is an interdisciplinary journal that presents communications on infectious diseases of bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic origin. Coverage includes pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology, therapy and prevention of infectious diseases. The journal publishes articles, concise articles, editorials, reviews, brief reports or letters to the editor. Articles present results or original research in the form of a full-length study, whereas concise articles present such results in condensed form, or present preliminary findings or case reports of truly exceptional interest. Brief reports present findings of interest in a condensed format. Letters to the editor comment on publications in the journal.
