Aim and ScopeThe Brazilian Journal of Microbiology is intended to publish original research papers, research notes and, occasionally, reviews, covering all aspects of Microbiology. The texts submitted for publication must be written in English. The journal has a severe policy of manuscript evaluation, and each manuscript is evaluated by at least two criteriously selected referees.The abbreviated title of the journal is Braz. J. Microbiol., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, bibliographical references and strips.
